First I want to congratulate Scott Brown on a magnificent race and a monumental, landscape-changing victory. Scott's victory sends a strong message to Washington Democrats that business-as-usual is not cutting it with voters who are impatient for a change that was promised but not delivered. I was pleased to support his campaign and pleased that so many Connecticut Republicans went to Massachusetts to assist his effort.

Brown will bring some badly needed common sense to Washington. He understands we need to stop the out of control government spending. People are still out of work. They are still fearful for the future. And despite the billions of dollars of taxpayers' dollars poured onto our smoldering economy, economic recovery has not been ignited.

I hope the Obama Administration and the DC Democrats are getting the message that the American people want pro-growth policies that will grow new jobs -- not more new government programs that grow the bureaucracy.
